Solo travel tips and stories for mature solo travellers

February is the month that a blog was born!

Friends, I can’t believe that it has now been 3 years since Just One Passport came to life! What an incredible journey it has been!  Travelling the world solo, just one step at a time.

Just One Passport – A Solo Traveller

I began this journey because I had such a passion for travel and adventure.  Travel is so much a part of my life, and an integral part of who I am, that I wanted to share my experiences and what I have learned with others.  I know so many people who have missed out on fulfilling their dreams and have let life just pass them by.  I didn’t want to be one of those people. I wanted to show others that there are other options available to them, and to hopefully inspire them to live their best life possible.  I am living proof that this can be done.  Solo travel is the bomb!

I love to travel solo and for me solo travel is just as rewarding, if not more so, than travelling with a companion.  The benefits are endless.  So is was at the encouragement of my daughters, Just One Passport was born.

I am not a professional blogger, nor am I a professional traveller or photographer.  I am just a girl who has an endless thurst and passion for travel, adventures and learning and experiencing new things and meeting new people.  I work full-time in the legal profession, and I am lucky enough to say that my employment supports my love of travel and allows me to travel for 6 weeks of the year.

Like many others, Just One Passport hasn’t been doing a lot of travel during the past year, but since Just One Passport came into existance it has travelled to Alaska, Vancouver British Columbia, Seattle, Washington, Banff, Alberta, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, and Kelowna, British Columbia, and the Dominican Republic, not to mention the numerous road trips and adventures throughout my home Province of Ontario.

“You never really travel alone, the world is full of friends waiting to get to know you”

Throughout this site, I have shared some destinations, adventures and journeys taken by Just One Passport which are perfect for the senior solo traveller (I know that first hand). I hope you enjoy them and hopefully they inspire you to see the world as well.

Through all of my adventures and travels, it has continued to be my mission to inspire and encourage people to get out and live their best life, whether it be by solo travel or otherwise.  I am living proof that it is never too late to get busy living!

Just One Passport is a travel blog geared towards the senior solo traveller.

When I began this journey 3 years ago, in my wildest dreams I would have never imagined that I would be fortunate enough to meet so many fantastic and supportive fellow travellers and adventure seekers, albeit virtually. Meeting all of you has truly been a gift and has been the best part of being a travel blogger.

I cherish each and every one of you and I am thankful beyond words for the love and support that I have received throughout these last 3 years.  I am so excited to continue to share all of our journeys and adventures together for another year.  Let us never cease to inspire others!
