Is it’s that time of year again when you have to start thinking about buying a gift for the avid solo traveller on your list. You know the one who has absolutely everything?
We all have that one person who is difficult to buy for, so I will help you out a little by giving you safety gifts ideas that every female solo traveller will love.
As an avid female solo traveller for over 12 years, I can recommend so many gifts for you to buy the solo traveller and adventurer on your list that she will love and will also help to keep her safe while she’s on her adventures. Let’s get started….
Safety Gifts Every Solo Female Traveller Needs
Safety is always the number one concern of a solo traveller, especially a female solo traveller. Thankfully there are many products out there that will help to keep her safe and she will love receiving as a gift.
Door Locks to Keep Her Safe
Every female solo traveller will thank you for giving her a door lock as a gift. This item is something that she won’t usually think to buy for herself, but it will come in so handy if someone is attempting to break into her hotel room. It has happened to me and now I won’t travel without a door lock.
Travel Safe
The travel safe is the perfect gift to buy for the solo traveller on your list, especially if she loves travelling to tropical or beach destinations.
This safe locks around the leg of a beach chair and and is large enough to hold keys, cell phone and money. It will provide the solo traveller with peace of mind when grabbing a drink or going for a quick dip, knowing that her belongings are secure and safe. I have this exact same mini-safe and it’s been a life-saver when I’m at the beach.
Anti-Theft Backpacks
An anti-theft backpack will always come in handy and you can buy one that doubles as a carry-on making it the perfect gift for the solo traveller on your list. This particular backpack will provide a hands free option that a regular carry-on won’t and the anti-theft features will give her the comfort in knowing that the backpack can’t be accessed from behind without her knowing.
Anti Theft Shoulder Bag
There are many times that a backpack isn’t needed, but the solo traveller will still require the comfort in knowing that her money, passport, etc. are safe.
For a night out on the town, an anti-theft shoulder bag is a gift that every female solo traveller will thank you for …. you can never have too many!
Hidden Money Holder
When travelling solo, it is always wise to keep your money in two separate places, one of which is easily accessible. The anti-theft shoulder bag or the anti-theft backpack are the ideal spots to keep easily accessible, small amounts of money, and, scarves, bras, fanny packs, etc. are the ideal spots to keep larger amounts of money. These items are the perfect addition to any solo travellers list to help keep her money and valuables safe and secure when she’s out on the road.
Scarves and Bras
The female solo traveller on your list will absolutely love receiving the travel infinity scarf as a gift!
This scarf has two hidden zippered compartments to stash valuables, while at the same time, complimenting her outfit. This gift is a win win for the female solo traveller on your list!
Self Defense Weapons
It is very important for women who travel solo be in a position to protect themselves if needed. Lucky for us there are lots of items out there to help us that are legal in most places, are concealable and easy to carry and most importantly are easy to use. Some form of self defense weapon is the number one item that should be on any solo female traveller’s safety gift list.
Safety Gifts For Solo Female Hikers
Since many female solo travellers will also be hiking or walking alone at some point throughout her travels, I am also including a few useful safety products that every female traveller would love to have.
Wrap Up of Safety Gifts Every Female Solo Traveller Needs
Now that you no longer have to stress about what to buy the female solo traveller on your list, it’s time to wrap up the perfect gift to keep her safe throughout her solo travels.
Happy Shopping 🙂

These all seem super handy to have on hand as a solo traveler! My father-in-law travels a lot, and he actually just got that door lock. I’m thinking about getting one before my next trip abroad. Thanks for sharing these other ideas!

I have one of those personal alarms and it is loud!! I always wonder why people wear backpacks as well, but with a secure one like the one you mention, that would make me feel way better!

I agree. I only use a backpack when hiking otherwise it’s too easy to access
