Spring is in the air and is right around the corner, and I know that you have been wondering what exciting things there is to do this summer? Now is the time to start making plans for your most epic summer full of adventures yet!
Yes, Canada still has lots of snow, but this is the time of year that I begin to make my Spring and Summer bucket list. After being cooped up alone for 5 months (or the past year and a half lol), one does start to get a bit stir crazy so it will come as no surprise that almost every item on my list will include an activity in the great outdoors.

Typically the majority of my travelling abroad is done throughout the the winter and fall months, leaving the warmer spring and summer months free to explore and enjoy activities in my own Country. Unfortunately, Canada only offers a few months of the warmer weather, so it is important not to waste a moment of being in the great outdoors. After all, summer is made for sand, sun, flip flops, adventures, and fruity drinks. There is not a minute to waste!
When putting together a Spring/Summer bucket list, always include your favorite outdoor activities, as well as include new activities. It is also important to include simple pleasures that can be done throughout the week in order to break up the monotony of everyday life. It is important to make the most of the outdoors as much as possible throughout the short time we have and no to live just for the weekends. Mid-week adventures help to deal with the stresses of work and life in general.
Ahhhhh Summer – I love you to the beach and back

Great list Kelly! Here in the southern hemisphere, we’re clinging to the last of our warm days so I’ll be getting outside as much as possible for the next few weeks. Taking a hot air balloon ride has been on my list for too long 🙂

We are coming to the end of winter now. My girls got me a gift certificate for a hot air balloon ride. I’m so excited to go!

I love that you included little and big things! You’re right, we tend to discount the little pleasures but they’re so much more achievable and make the rest of our week so much brighter. I love chasing waterfalls, but for me, that’s a drive several hours away, so that’s at least a weekend activity. But taking yourself out for an ice cream, now that’s a true summertime pleasure that’s achievable any time! Great ideas that we can all use.

Thank you. The waterfalls are a weekend thing for me but I do the icecream, walks, baseball games during the week. It breaks it up and makes me feel like all I’m doing is working

Living in the UK we have a similar experience. While winter in our area isn’t as cold as Canada, it’s so often raining, and dark and grey. We like to be home more in the good weather months, and travel overseas in the miserable months!

This is a nice list. Maybe I’ll steal yours and customise it for myself. Hopefully we can enjoy summer this year. Good luck with your list!

Thank you. With the state of affairs, I likely won’t get it all done, but I’m sure going to try!

These are all such fun ideas. I also love living in my flip flops and shorts this time of year! It can’t get here soon enough in my opinion!
